Our industrial experience and in-depth analysis of the factors controlling product launch has inspired Rapid Sensor's research and development of the "Total-Rapid-Systems"* approach to cost-reduction and expedited delivery of custom sensors. "T.R.S." touches several facets of the organization including engineering liaison, but more heavily affects the design criteria for the finished sensor assembly and its consequent impact on T.R.S. tooling cost. T.R.S. has also inspired the development of new sensor processes and commissioned the construction of new proprietary production equipment to rapidly produce conventional sensor sub components, including molded thermoplastic or die cast white metal housings, from conventional sensor materials in low to medium production volumes. Greatly shortened tooling lead times are the results of reduced man-machine hours in the toll shop and so a break through in low cost tooling is realized. Tooling is often free for key customers.
